Update cursor position technology (parenthesis in particular)

Here is just an example of a seemingly bigger problem: Say TexWord has generated two parenthesis () and the code in the source reads: \left(\right) When I use the mouse to click between the two parenthesis in TexWord I see (|) the "|" representing cursor position but in the source it reads: \left|(\right) again "|" represents the cursor position and so say I start typing "xyz", texword will read: xyz() with errors generated.
