Please do not forget that after any change you must
save the file,
and exit all BaKoMa TeX programs (under Windows)
and/or reset cache in Options - Common Settings - Directories - Reset Cache .

Also, changing some parameters may require to rebuild TeX format.
Use menu command TeX/IniTeX in Centaur.
NOTE:
Format should be rebuild automatically after changing TEXMF,INI.
However it may be missed sometime. In this case it should be done manually.

Memory Management. Include under \textit{common settings} a memory management tool; perhaps, at a minimum, include an option that permits maximum memory allocation to all things TeX. For the less technically inclined, this would dominate editing the texmf.ini file.
